St. John has been providing recordings of its services on cassette tape since a sound system was installed in our sanctuary just in time for Christmas Eve, 1998. Lynne Baggett took a “Spirited” lead in getting this ministry off the ground by diligently taping the 8:15 service each week. However, technology has made tapes passé for many people. Some do not even have a cassette player. While we continue to offer tapes, in early 2006 we began to explore the digital road. We are excited by the potential which digital MP3 recordings offer. Anyone in corners of the world far away from Roanoke can listen, be nourished and hopefully use these recordings to witness to others about the Good News of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Thus, the W.O.W. Ministry – Worship Outreach To The World was born! Our mission is to provide access to recordings of the weekly sermons as well as various Bible Studies. These files can be a resource for our members to share the gospel with those who do not know the Lord since we all are “ministers” at St. John. The tapes and MP3s aid those who physically cannot get to church. Many requests for tapes and MP3s come from members who want to hear for a second or third time a particular message which spoke to them. May you, the listener, find the Lord speaking to you through this ministry.

You can listen to any of the files in one of two ways:Simply click on the file you want and listen right on your computer (Download times may vary depending on many variables outside our control such as your bandwidth and internet traffic so please give the file up to a minute to load)
2. Left click on the file you want and select the "save file as" and save it to your computerAll files are MP3 and can be burned to CD to listen in your car. You will need to follow your burning software to convert the file back into a usable format for your CD player.
